Guide

How to choose an intrusion alarm.

The right system is not decided by the brand — but by your needs: what to protect, what your insurance requires, how you want to manage the installation and what it must handle tomorrow. Here is the path to a confident choice.

The needs

What you should consider

What should be protected — and from what?
The assets determine the level of protection: stock, server rooms, art or people require different layers of perimeter, volume and point protection.
What does your insurance require?
Many businesses have alarm requirements in their insurance terms — often a specific alarm grade according to SSF 130. The wrong grade can mean no compensation.
How will the installation be managed?
App, keypad or monitoring service? Who receives alarms, who responds — and do you want a service agreement with testing?
Will the system grow?
More sites, integration with access control and CCTV, or a head-end platform — today's choice determines what is possible tomorrow.
Wired or wireless?
Wireless installs quickly and flexibly; wired is unbeatable in operation over decades. It often ends up a combination.
Total cost of ownership
Count more than the purchase: licences, battery replacements, testing, monitoring fees and what a system change costs the day it is needed.

Not every platform is still sold with new components on the open market — but the competence remains. We service, troubleshoot and plan controlled system replacements even for older generations.

Siemens Sintony

Aritech Advisor (CS/ATS)

A widespread classic with spare parts partly available on the second-hand market — we keep installations running and propose a migration path.

Scantronic 9000 series

A British veteran in many smaller premises. We handle service, battery and detector replacements until a system change is planned.

Guardall PX/QX

Older graded systems — we have the competence for troubleshooting and step-by-step modernisation.

Honeywell Vista/Ademco

A global platform with a long history — we service it and connect it to modern supervised alarm transmission.

Galaxy Classic (G2/G3)

Older Galaxy generations are serviced and can often be upgraded step by step to Dimension.

DSC Power 832/864

A robust classic — maintenance and extensions until PowerSeries Neo takes over.

Larmnet 3000/4000

Older Larmnet generations in the housing stock — we manage them and migrate to Larmnet 6000.
